Cuckoo Carol just locked herself in the dumpster enclosure outside.
Librarian: “CAROL! What the hell are you doing in there?!”
CC: “I saw a magazine I wanted!”

CC: “There’s another one like it if you want it.”
Librarian: “I don’t want trash! How long have you been stuck in there anyway?”

A woman approached the reference desk and without saying a word, she placed a library card on the counter.
Me: “Yes? Can I help you?”
Woman: “Here is a card.”
Me: “Okay. Did you just find it somewhere?”
Woman: “No.”
Me: “Okay….is it your library card?”
Woman: “No.”
Me: “So you found it?”
Woman: “No.”
Me: “Umm…what can I help you with?”
Woman: “This card was on the floor over there.”

Hunger, Fighting it
I found a plastic grocery bag containing two packages of uncooked chicken on the floor of the lobby. Just outside was a man with a similar bag.
Me: “Sir, is that your bag in the lobby?”
Man [in broken English]: “I put bag there, but it is not for me.”
Me: “So, is it trash?”
Man: “No it is not trash. It is donation.”
Me: “Uh…”
Man: “I went to store, bought too much. The rest is for you. You can have it, madam.”
Me: “—”
